Viki Beck-Roath Obituary

Viki Lu Beck-Roath, 66, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2022, at her home in Montpelier with her loving, devoted husband by her side.

Viki was born in Honolulu, HI on July 12, 1955, and was the third child of Vernon Jethro Beck and Agnus Coleman Beck. From the time that Viki was 6 months old she moved around a lot. Her father served in the air force and so for the younger years of her life she got to see a lot of the country. Viki’s family eventually moved back to the Bear Lake Valley and that is where she would call home for the rest of her life.

In March of 1975 Viki welcomed her son Marcus Beck into the world. Marcus would be her only biological son and she loved him dearly and looked forward to getting to spend time with him when they were able to.

Viki met Michael Lee Roath while she worked at Maverik and after a few conversations, Mike told Viki that he would take her to dinner if she could help him sell a horse he had for sale. The next time Mike went into Maverik she had his horse sold and they’ve been together ever since. Mike and Viki were married on Memorial Day in 2013. With their marriage Viki gained her stepsons Wit Roath and Jc Lee Roath. Viki and Jc had a love-hate relationship, but they were always there for each other. Viki would go to all Jc’s wrestling tournaments and rodeos and would be the loudest one in the crowd cheering him on.

Viki loved the outdoors and animals. She went for a drive, fishing, and camping any chance she would get. She was a devoted member of Bear Lake County’s ANH for many years and was always looking out for animals and taking care of the strays she would come across. Viki loved her mules and her dogs very much. Viki also loved to brag about her grandchildren and was always sharing pictures, telling stories, and happy to see them when they’d come by.

Viki was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Alan Beck, and her sister Janet Beck. Viki is survived by her husband Mike, her son Marcus (Chandalee) Beck of Idaho Falls, ID, her stepsons Wit (Lisa) Roath of Crane, OR, JC (Shaylin) Roath of Dingle, ID and her grandsons Skyker Beck, Alix Fox, Austin Roath, Levi Roath, Jack Roath, Rylin Roath and Riggin Roath.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date for her immediate family. Thank you to all who loved and cared about Viki. Our lives are forever changed without her, but we find peace knowing she is in a better place.
