On August 16, 2023. Tom Andersen, of Fish Haven Idaho, passed away in his home. Tom was born on April 19, 1946 in Ogden Utah to his parents Elden and Alice Andersen. Tom was the fourth oldest of seven siblings (three brothers and three sisters). Tom married his beautiful bride, Victoria Triste in 1966 and later raised two children, Cammie Price and Darin Andersen.
Tom proudly served in the US Navy from 1963-1967, where he was an electrician’s mate. After his service, he worked at Hill Air Force installing and maintaining hypo and hyperbaric chambers across multiple states and countries, to include chambers that sent astronauts to space. Later he found himself opening a hardware store in Garden City Utah and followed on as a general contractor and handyman providing the Bear Lake valley with his years of experience and craftsmanship. Tom was known and recognized for providing quality work and generous services. His soft heart and love for thy neighbor made him an easy man to relate to. It wasn’t unheard of for Tom to stop and lend a helping hand to a stranger down on their luck.
Tom’s spirit still lives on through his lovely wife, remaining sibling, two children, grandkids, and great grandkids, that will miss his stories and vicious attitude on illegal immigration.
