Lois Marie Hansen Thornock was born April 23, 1933, to James Hansen Jr. and Rosezella Skinner.
She was the 5th of 14 children. She attended elementary school in Thatcher and High School in Grace.
After High School she was introduced to the man who would become her husband, Verden Thornock by his sister Ethel Kunz.
They were married on December 4th, 1954. During their marriage they were blessed with 5 children, Viola Marie Thornock, who passed away at 18 months of age, son Jimmy Thornock (Margaret) son Dale Thornock, son Curtis Thornock, daughter Laura Thornock Dooley.
They lived on a beef and dairy farm. They loved racing and showing horses. She taught a horse 4-H Club and was involved in horse 4-H on the county level and was the horse 4-H chairman for several years, which was one of the highlights of her life.
The biggest highlight of her life was enjoying activities with her family such as showing the horses at county fairs, fishing, hunting, and day to day farm work.
Her and the families’ lives were changed by the death of her husband, Verden, who preceded her in death She was also preceded in death by her first-born daughter, Viola, brothers, Dee, DelMar and Kent; sisters Mary Lou, Luella, Madeline, Delane, Vera.
She is survived by brothers Rulen and sisters, Arlene, Alice, Audrey, Vella, 4 of her children, Jimmy, Dale, Curtis, Laura; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
