DeWayne Roy Dimick, 88, of Montpelier, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31st, 2025, surrounded by his family. DeWayne was born September 02, 1936, to Virgil & LaVay Dimick. He graduated from Montpelier High School, the class of 1955.
DeWayne married his first wife Linnea Johnson & together they had three children. They were later divorced. He then married his wife & companion of 49 years Marilyn Sue. Together, over the next eight years, they raised their combined six children: Steven (Cherie) Dimick, Larry (April) Dimick, Dale Dimick,
Jymme (Ron) Manchester, Jon (Melina) Negus, & Jill Sorensen.
DeWayne worked the majority of his life as a delivery driver for Wonder Bread. All the while he was faithfully supporting his family & home, he travelled miles & miles, in all manner of road conditions, delivering fresh bakery goods between Grace, Idaho & Garden City, Utah. Everywhere he delivered, people loved his friendliness & sense of humor. He made many friends & acquaintances over those years. DeWayne & Sue loved their black labs. DeWayne loved to train them & they proved to be great hunting dogs but were also very much part of the Dimick family.
Finally retired (with new knees), DeWayne could fully live out his dreams & passion for hunting & fishing. He travelled to Alaska, the Oregon Coast, and throughout Wyoming & Idaho. He shared his adventures with his family, friends & buddies, as well as, his wife who camped, fished, & hunted by his side.
DeWayne is survived by his wife & children, 16 Grandchildren: Heather, James, Damon, Taryn, Taylor, Jared, Eric, Dylan, Dalton, Quinton, Shintell, Destinie, Amanda, Derrek, & Allie; a nephew & niece, Mike & Nichole & many greatly loved great-grandchildren, cousins, & extended family. DeWayne was predeceased by his father & mother; Brother, Dean; Son, Dale; & Grandson, Justin.
He will be remembered by his many friends & his family as Honker, Wiggler, Big D, Papa, Pops, Gramps & most importantly Dad.
