Anthony (Tony) Duran

Anthony (Tony) Duran, 76 of Montpelier Idaho, passed away in a freak accident on July 9, 2025.

He was born in Taos New Mexico on June 8, 1949, to Jose Sr and Flora C. Duran.

He grew up on a ranch in Cokeville Wyoming.

Tony loved life, he enjoyed fixing olds cars and had many other hobbies.

He never met a stranger and was always up for a good laugh.

He is survived by his loving wife Lois (Schnell ) Duran of 45 years, his son Joey A Duran (Nampa Idaho) daughter Amanda (Duran) Negus (Jacob, his siter Mary Iverson (Verna Utah) Sister in law Barbara Ames (Nampa Idaho) Brother in law Ron Walker (Nicholasville Kentucky) 2 granddaughters Bethany Duran Vega (Nicco) Ella Duran, 3 great grand babies,  and 4 distant grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jose Sr. and Flora C. Duran. His 4 brothers, Ambrose, Joe Jr., Fred and Earnie Duran, 1 sister Rose Harmon, oldest son Mathew Anthony Duran, nephew Todd Ames (Nampa Idaho), Brother – in - law Kelly Iverson, Mother-in-law Martha W. Snell.

Tony was a bright light. He is going to be missed by everyone who knew him.
