She married Wayne Hymas Nye in May of 1957 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had four children, Marla Ann, Bret Wayne, Terie May, and Paul James. They were later divorced. She married Harold Black, and they were later divorced.

She loved working with her dad on the racetrack and did so for many years. She worked as a CNA in Montpelier up until she couldn’t work any longer. She served as a Primary teacher and Scout Leader. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She also spent many years serving with the Pink Ladies. She loved being outside, growing small gardens, and had a green thumb when it came to house plants.  She was very talented in crocheting things for her kids and made many embroidered pillowcases that were beautiful.

She is survived by her kids Bret (Emma) Nye of American Falls Idaho, Terie (Quinn) Skinner of Cleveland Idaho, and Paul (Camie) Nye of Mantua Utah; also 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law Evelyn.
