Warren H. Sorenson passed away at Caribou Memorial Hospital on April 5, 2023.
He died from a long battle with cancer and COPD.
He was born in Montpelier Idaho July 28, 1942, to Madge Hayes Sorenson and Eldon Chris Sorenson.
He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Montpelier High School.
He worked at Monsanto for several years then Dravo for 32 years. On days off he would haul sheep for Milt Ward and Alisha Dredge to California and Colorado.
After retiring he drove full time until Milt passed away. He missed it so much, along with his good friend.
Warren loved to sing. He had a beautiful voice. He also sang in the Glee Club in High School. Wherever there was music he would be up there singing and dancing. He loved to sing the "House of The Rising Sun", many folks would always request it.
He loved chariot racing and flat track racing with his wife.
He was always outside working and tinkering on something, whether it be the lawn mower, 4-wheeler, truck, fencing, yard work or building something.
He married Irene Kubien, AKA Crane, September 10th, 1969.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Madge, and Eldon Sorenson, two brothers, Evan and Kent Sorenson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irene Sorenson, sister Anna Campbell, daughters, Tanya K Julander and Tammy K Wilcox (Scott) and his grandchildren Shadow Lewis, Sable Lewis, his great grandchildren, Stetson Jorgenson, Chazlee Jorgenson and Hudson Bartschi.
He was very loved and will be greatly missed by many.
A viewing will be held on Friday April 14, 2023, at Schwab Matthews Mortuary from 6-8 pm.
Due to the high volume of snow the Georgetown cemetery is not accessible, a graveside service will be held at a later date.
