Wanda Jean Smith Dunn, 79, born September 2, 1945, in Ogden, Utah, to Herbert Ellis Smith and Barbara Jean Smith, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with loved ones at her side.

She was raised in Ogden and North Ogden where she graduated from Weber High School in 1963.

Wanda married Shirley Dunn in June of 1963 and lived in Round Valley, Utah.  They moved back to Ogden, then moved to Bennington, Idaho, where she lived the majority of her life.  They were married for 30 years before divorcing.  They remained close friends.

Wanda worked at Spring Manor for four years when she passed her Certified Nursing Assistant Exam in June of 2003.  She then worked there until she retired in 2013.

Wanda was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed doing extractions and attending the temple.  She taught primary and loved working in the scouting program.  She started as a den mother in 1973 and received her Silver Beaver Award and District Award of Merit in 1994.  She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and held various offices.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Michael and Richard, her sisters Cheryl Rigby and Jana Lee Nebeker.  Wanda is survived by her children, Berry (Angela) Dunn, Chad (Shelly) Dunn, Beth Dunn, Betty Christian, Ann (Tony) Zocchi, James (Jennifer) Dunn, Dan (Wendy) Dunn, Brandon Nebeker, brothers Rodney and Terry, sister Gwen Nichols, and a legacy of 23 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. at the Bennington Chapel, 24 East Center Street, Bennington, Idaho with a viewing prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Wanda will be laid to rest at the Bennington Cemetery.
