Tyler Chad Keetch's Obituary

Tyler Chad Keetch, 26, passed away surrounded by loved ones in his home in Montpelier May 28, 2017, after a valiant fight against melanoma. Tyler was born five weeks early on May 19, 1991, in Logan, Utah, to Chad and Kelly Keetch. He was raised in Wardboro, Idaho where he grew up farming with his neighbors and family. Tyler graduated from Bear Lake High School and went on to attend Idaho State University where he graduated from the Diesel Electric Technology in 2011. It was there that he fell in love with the love of his life Tana Boehme. They dated while he finished his schooling and went to work in the oil fields in Wyoming and North Dakota. He returned to Bear Lake in 2012 and started working at Kiewit Mining Group. He was later married to his love, Tana Lee Boehme on January 14, 2014, in the Logan LDS Temple. In November of 2014, they welcomed a handsome baby boy, Kanan Tyler, who he loved and cherished.

Tyler had a strong passion for anything diesel. He spent many hours tinkering, fixing, and repairing trucks for himself and many others in the area. He was never satisfied with his truck. He always wanted to make it bigger, better, faster, stronger, and he has quite the truck to brag about now. You could always find Tyler with a tool in his hand. He enjoyed participating in the truck pulls, snowmobiling, playing basketball, driving semi, and spending time with family and friends. Tyler was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as the Young Men President in the Geneva Ward since 2015.

Tyler was loved by many and accomplished so much in his short years on earth. He was always seen with a contagious smile on his face and a positive attitude. Tyler was a fighter. If he wanted something he did what he had to do to obtain it. He fought non-stop after being diagnosed in January 2015 with melanoma. He never complained once or had a bad attitude. He was the rock that helped everyone around him.

He was a loving father and husband. He is survived by his wife Tana and their son Kanan Tyler. He was a caring brother and son and is survived by his parents, Chad and Kelly Keetch; his sister Heather (Denton) Andersen, and his brothers Kasey and Kayden. He is also survived by his in-laws Gene and Patsy Boehme and his brothers-in-law, Derek (Shawnee), Shane, Kyle (Lacey), and Clay (Shayla) Boehme. He was a fun uncle and is survived by his nieces and nephew as well as many cousins and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
