Theadore "Ted" Russell Moffat's Obituary

Theadore "Ted" Russell Moffat, 101, passed away May 31, 2012 at the Star Valley Care Center. Funeral services were held June 4, 2012 in the Afton LDS?Third Ward Chapel. Burial took place in the Afton Cemetery. Ted was born July 7, 1910 in Afton. He was the son of James Theadore and Lula Mae Brown Moffat. Not only was he born in Afton, Ted spent his entire life in Star Valley. He ran the Texaco service station for many years. He served on the Afton Volunteer Fire Department. Prior to his death he was the oldest living fireman in the State of Wyoming. Ted married Leah Grace Wright on May 27, 1931 in the Logan LDS?Temple. Ted loved Greys River and especially enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting and camping in that area. He also loved visits from his family and friends and always had a welcoming smile. Ted was a true gentleman and is loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sisters, Reta Berg, Riverdale, Utah; MaryLou Cronquist, West Haven, Utah; Edna Jones, West Point, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leah; five sisters, Thelma, Margaret, Ruby, Dorothy, and Patsy; and two brothers, Blaine and Lloyd. Funeral: Monday June 04, 2012 12:00 AM
