Sandra (Sandi) Faye Hanson, 66, of Ovid, Idaho peacefully passed away in her home the morning of November 28, 2017.

Sandi was born April 8, 1951, in Montpelier, Idaho to Charles DeVere Doman and Faye Dona (Murdock) Doman. Sandi graduated from Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho in 1969. Shortly thereafter, Sandi married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Robert Hanson, of Pocatello, Idaho on June 6, 1969, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.

They briefly lived in Culver City, California, where Sandi worked for Hughes Aircraft as a Secretary/Personal Assistant. After Wayne was discharged from the Marine Corps they lived in several locations, but finally chose to settle in the Bear Lake Valley in the fall of 1980. It was there that they raised their family of eleven children.

Sandi was happiest when serving others and was always placing the needs of another before herself. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her universe and she loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Faye Doman. Sandi is survived by her husband Wayne Robert Hanson Sr., her children – Cassie Anderson-Jones (Daughter), Mike Hanson (Son), Clinton Hanson (Son), Nichole Hanson Smith (Daughter), Michelle Hanson Merrill (Daughter), Ryan Hanson (Son), Benjamin Hanson (Son), Wayne Hanson Jr. (Son), Orrin Hanson (Son), Jacob Hanson (Son), Logan Hanson (Son), 34 grandchildren, and her siblings (Alan, Kathy, Karen, & Sarah).

There will be a funeral service held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00am. There will also be viewings on Sunday, December 3rd from 7-9 pm, and prior to the service on the 4th from 10:15-11:00am. All events will be held at the Bern Ward Chapel, 321 Church House Lane, Bern, ID 83220.
