Obituary

Sandra “Sandy” Kaye Bunderson passed away on September 9, 2026, at the young age of 62 at Ogden Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy had faced several health challenges in the months leading up to her passing.

Sandy will be remembered most for her contagious laugh, outgoing personality, and fun-loving spirit. She had a way of bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it—even when the task might have been a little more than she could reasonably take on. That was simply who Sandy was: generous, caring, and always willing to show up for the people she loved.

Above all, Sandy loved her family fiercely. She is survived by her mother, Shirlee C. Miller (Wayne); her sister, Deb Freeland (Bill); and her three children, Jessica Rackham (Gavin), Justin Richards (Kendra), and Jeremy Hales (Jentrie). She is also survived by her aunt, Mary Unck; her nine grandchildren; her niece and two nephews; and her four great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Lyman Bunderson, whom she missed dearly; her grandparents, Nephi and Iola Bunderson and Ben and Gladys Cleveland; her uncle, Jim Cleveland; and her cousin, Kelly Cleveland.

Sandy’s vibrant personality, generous heart, and unforgettable laugh will be deeply missed. Her family will carry with them countless memories of the laughter, love, and joy she brought into their lives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Charles Ward Chapel in St. Charles, Idaho. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Interment will follow at the St. Charles Cemetery.
