Ruth Gardner

Ruth Leona Ross Gardner returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on February 1, 2011. She was born on June 26, 1923 in Crane, MO., to John and Leona Ross. She was the Youngest of six children.

She married Scott Gardner on February 16, 1944 and together they raised four children.

Ruth served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corp during WW2 and was proud of her service to her country.

Ruth was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a variety of callings in the Relief Society and Children's Primary. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shared it through her example of service and friendship.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Scott; and children David (Beth) Gardner; Dan (Wanda) Gardner; and Ann (Don) Rutkowski, 12 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and son, Steven Mark Gardner.

Ruth was buried in the Afton Cemetery following a service and military honors on February 5, 2011.
