Rose Marie Bauman, returned to her Heavenly Father on Oct. 30, 2017. At the age of 79, Rose was born on May 4, 1938 in Richmond, VA. to Myra and Bonard Brady, Sr. Rose had two brothers, Jerry Brady, from Midlothian, VA. and Bonard, Jr. (deceased) from Richmond, VA.
Rose knew from an early age she wanted to be a nurse. She had a passion in helping people. She graduated from Great Bridge High School in Richmond, VA. and received a scholarship for nursing school. Rose graduated with high honors from Norfolk General School of Nursing as a registered nurse in November 15, 1960.
After graduation she moved to Ogden, UT. and met the love of her life, Larry Robert Bauman. They were married on March 17, 1962. In Ogden, UT; and sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple, in August 5, 2005.
Rose put her career on hold to raise her four children in Hooper, UT. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a primary teacher, cub scout leader, and a girl scout leader. She had many other callings during her life.
Rose had many hobbies and talents. Some of her favorites were reading, sewing, crocheting, and cooking. Her favorite thing in life was spending time with her family. She loved to go camping and hiking.
Rose returned to nursing later in life. She worked in Labor and Delivery at Ogden Regional Hospital, were she enjoyed working with the new born babies. She enjoyed teaching prenatal classes to new mothers.
After they retired they moved to Montpelier, ID. where she worked as a Registered Nurse, for Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. She really enjoyed her church calling in the library. She enjoyed the atmosphere of living in a small town, where she made many friends
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Montpelier, ID. Her children Amy (Mike) Genetti, Rigby, ID. Len (Roxanne) Bauman, West Haven, UT. Becky Drysdale, Montpelier, ID. Wendy (Randall) Ottesen, Tooele, UT. Her brother Jerry (Joan) Brady of Midlothian, VA. Rose had fifteen grand-children, and thirteen great grand-children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myra and Bonard Brady Sr. and a brother Bonard Brady Jr.
There will be a viewing on November 3rd from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Schwab-Matthews Mortuary at 702 Clay Street in Montpelier, Id. and from 9:30-10:45 on November 4th at the Montpelier Fourth Ward Chapel at 485 S 7th with funeral at 11:00 A.M. The burial will follow at the Geneva Cemetery.
