Hymas
August 11, 1945
Roger Hymas was born on August 11, 1945 in Montpelier, Idaho to Rao D. and Velma Morrell Hymas. He attended schools in Paris, graduating from Fielding High school. He lived all of his life in Liberty, Idaho on the family farm milking cows. He hauled milk from local dairies in ten gallon milk cans to the plant in logan Utah. He also did custom livestock hauling. He worked for Tri-State and Bear Lake School District for 37 ½ years. He was known throughout the intermountain area for his matched teams of horses. He participated in the first Rendezvous organized by Dr. Paul Daines. He was a member of the Bear Lake County volunteer fire department station three for fifty years. He was also a member of the Bear Lake County Sheriff's Office Jeep Patrol. On June 28th 1980 he married Carole Skinner in Liberty, Idaho. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple on February 14th, 1987. Together they had three sons, Benjamin R. C., Scotty Joseph, and Aaron Skinner. He was preceded in death by his parents Rao and Velma, and a nephew Mike. He is survived by Carole, R. C., Scotty, Aaron, his brother Gary (Janette) of Preston, Idaho, A sister, Sherry of Preston, lots of nieces and nephews, and Weisel his dog. He battled cancer and kidney failure for the last 8 years of his life. The family would like to thank the staff at Interventional Radiology in Pocatello, the nurses and doctors at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital, and the Staff of Access Hospice.
