Robert Mcneel's Obituary

Robert McNeel

Robert L. "Bob" McNeel passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2011. Bob was born in Afton on Dec. 16, 1925. Bob was the youngest of 11 siblings of William L. and Emma R. McNeel. His sister, Anna Sneed, of Alaska is still living.

Bob had a great love for family and friends. His wish was to be buried near his father and mother. A graveside service was held Aug. 6, 2011 to fulfill his wish. Many family and friends attended and the VFW carried out Military Honors.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Paula, his son, Roby L. McNeel (Kaylee). Bob had 67 nieces and nephews, to say nothing of the great nephews and nieces. Jed Miller (Lisa) of Afton is a grandson of Bob's. Mary Kay Diehl, his daughter had two grandchildren, Becky and Eddie.

He will be greatly missed by all that had the opportunity to know him. He loved and cared dearly for all of the children and people that grew up on the ranch and worked with him over the many years.

Hard work, friendship, helping others and keeping his word were things he tried to live by. He was a noble man and grateful for his associations with his friends and neighbors.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at the Bondurant Community Church, August 20 at 2 a.m. The Bondurant Community Club will provide a luncheon.
