Pugmire
March 2, 1944 – June 10, 2024
Michael Gordon Pugmire "80" was born on March 2,1944 in Salt Lake City Utah to Mark Gardner Pugmire and Betty Lou Weston.
He passed on June 10, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
Mike lived in Montpelier until he was 8 years old and then they moved to Paris, Idaho where they bought a service station from Alfred and Lucille Rogers.
He lived there until 1958 when the family moved to Mesa Arizona and then came back in the summer of 1960 and took over the station again and remained in the business for the next 38 years.
Michael married Jean Piggott on June 7, 1963, in the Logan Temple. They moved to Pocatello where he attended trade school for mechanics and worked at a service station on the side. In 1966 they moved back to Paris to assist his parents in the business.
He was a Blazer B Scout leader and membership clerk in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He belonged to the Bear Lake County Jeep Patrol.
For many years he held down side jobs to go along with his business. He worked at Leaf in Wyoming – Central Farmers- Beckers- UPRR – Bear Lake County School bus driver, and SEICOG bus driver.
Micheal is survived by his wife Jean, 3 daughters, Covina (Mark) Dye; Suzette (Don) Thornock; and Trudy Pugmire; 6 Grandchildren, Daniell Holly Martin; Cristal (Tyrel Weyn) Hansen; Tesla Kay Thornock; Lisa Dawn (Chris) Lund; Tel Jay Thornock (Rachel); Tanner Michael Thornock, 4 great-grandchildren. Oakley Dawn Sims; Jaylee Hansen; Hank Delmoine Hansen; Michaila Jean Lund; and one on the way.
Mike's siblings are, Judy Kooi and Vicky (Bill) Gay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Betty Lou Pugmire and many lifelong friends.
Services will be held in the Paris Stake Center on June 13, 2024, at 12:00 noon. Prior to the service there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:45. No evening viewing.
Interment will be at the St. Charles Idaho Cemetery.
