Max Willard Eborn's Obituary

Max Willard Eborn, age 88, of Paris, Idaho, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024.

He was born May 22, 1936, at the home of his aunt in Paris, Idaho, the Son of the late Willard and Blanche Hymas Eborn.

He has two siblings Lavoy Eborn (deceased) and Norene Eborn Thomas of Lakepoint, UT.

Max graduated from Fielding High School of Paris in May of 1954.

He met his wife, Joan, in the summer of 1955, and they were married in the Logan Temple on April 20, 1956. A few years later, they bought a house and spent the next 65 years turning it into a home.

Shortly after he was married, he received a letter from Uncle Sam and was drafted into the Army. After serving for 3 years, he returned home and bought the Bear Lake Market with his brother. He owned and operated it and the family farm for more than 40 years.

He lived a life of service and there are countless stories of his acts of kindness and service to others. In his free time Max enjoyed finding ways to be with his children and grandchildren at any given occasion.

Following his retirement, he and Joan served a mission in the Czech Republic for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They also served in the Logan Temple for many years. He was a very devoted member of the church and served in many callings.

He and Joan were blessed with 3 children Michelle Joan Humpherys, Corin Max Eborn, and Jamie Lynne Clarke. Max has 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and still counting.

Max is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, his wife of 67 years, and his son-in-law, Clint Humpherys.
