Matt Thompson

Matthew D. Thompson, 58, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 7, 2011.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in the Etna LDS Chapel.

Matthew was born Sept. 16 1952 to Keith and Jacki Thompson. His arrival was three months early and he battled sickness much of his life.

Matt graduated from Star Valley High School in 1971. He loved playing drums and played in the band.

He worked for some time in the mines in Idaho. During that time he was married to Sharon Little and inherited a daughter, Alyshia. He was then blessed with two additional beautiful daughters Sage and Francie. He was later divorced.

Matt moved to Hurricane, Utah, in which he owned his own taxi company. When his dad took sick, matt came home to run the ranch.

He enjoyed working on his many older vehicles, farming, and spending time talking to friends and visiting is two grandsons and granddaughters.

Matt was not active in the church, but was a very spiritual person. He loved animals and the land and his countless number of friends.

Matthew is survived by his children, Sage Thompson, Etna; Francie (Brett) Pearson, Taylorsville, Utah; Mother, Jackie Thompson, Etna; siblings', George (Deloris) Thompson, Afton; Juana Thompson, St. Anthony, Idaho; Janene Brown, Manhattan, Mont.; two grandsons, Chance and Damien; One granddaughter, Audrey who was his little buttercup.
