Linda Wales Hymas passed away in her home in Montpelier, September 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving spouse and children.

Linda was born December 21, 1946 in Afton, Wyoming to Fay S Wales (Olson) and William Sneddon Wales. She was raised in Wyoming.

Linda married the love of her life, Ron Hymas, on April 23, 1976 in Montpelier. Ron and Linda raised their five children together in Bear Lake, creating a lifetime of cherished memories.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Fay Olson, father, Willim Wales, step father, Evan (Hank) Olson, son, Steven Stumpp, son-in-law, Richard Phelps and grandson, Miles Lloyd. She is survived by her husband, Ron Hymas, siblings, Marilynn Lyon, Monte (Sydney) Sanders, Jim (Lucy) Sanders, Dan (Debbie) Sanders and Chris (Anna) Olson; daughter–in-law, Karla Stumpp of West Haven, UT, daughter, Shelly Phelps of Montpelier, ID, son Danny (Gail) Stumpp of Montpelier, ID, son Kelly (Kristie) Stumpp of Bennington, ID, daughter, Jodi (Steven) Matthews of Montpelier, ID; grandchildren, Tabitha (Jamie) Ramboz, Eric (Jeni) Stumpp, Elliot (Shaina) Stumpp, McKenzie Stumpp, Jamie (Kris) Gattman, Zachary Phelps (Juliet Hamway), Richelle (Trenton) Morrell, Elizabeth Phelps, Rechelle Norman, Renay Wuthrich, Rita (James) Stumpp, A.J. Stumpp, Mykell Gerber, Mark Lloyd, Keldon Stumpp, Ashley Stumpp, Nathan Matthews and many great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Montpelier Cemetery. At this time the family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Clay Campbell, Anya Anthony and their staff. We would also like to thank the many members of the community who have sent their love, food, thoughts, prayers and blessings.
