LaVoy Hymas Eborn (82) was born February 23, 1933 to Willard and Blanche Eborn at their home in Lanark, Idaho.

LaVoy passed away on Sunday, November 22 in Montpelier, Idaho with his family by his side.

LaVoy was the eldest of 3 children born to Willard and Blanche.

LaVoy was a proud graduate of Fielding High School which was located in Paris, Idaho.

After high school, LaVoy entered the U.S Army and served honorably in the Korean War.

Upon returning home from the war, LaVoy and his brother Max purchased and operated the Bear Lake Valley Market for many years.

LaVoy also worked many years in the Phosphate mining operation located in Georgetown Canyon and then Soda Springs, Idaho.

LaVoy married Connie Velasquez Ochsenbein on June 18, 1971 and made Paris, Idaho their home.

LaVoy loved working on his farm/ranch. He also liked hauling wood, hunting, but mostly watching his grandkids in their numerous activities.

The biggest smile you would see on LaVoy's face is when he was surrounded by his family.

LaVoy spent the last year of his life in the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing facility where he received excellent care and enjoyed his interaction with the nursing staff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Blanche.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Eborn, 6 children: Randy (Jerri) Ochsenbein, Tim (Misti) Ochsenbein, Bob (Paula) Ochsenbein,

(Vernon) JanDell Hemmert, (Jordon) JaLene Peterson, LaVoy (Lacey) Eborn.

LaVoy is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, 1 Brother, Max (Joan) Eborn, & 1 Sister, (Ron) Norene Thomas.

LaVoys funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at the Paris LDS Stake Center.
