Lavor Leonard Hemmert's Obituary

LaVor Leonard Hemmert reunited with his loving wife Arlene on September 25, 2025.

He grew up in St. Charles Idaho where he worked on his family farm.  After high school he married Arlene Bagley Hemmert and they spent the next 67 years together raising their 7 children, Lynn, Blain, Steven, Shawn, Jonathan, Ann, and Glen.

He loved traveling, wood working, the outdoors, and was a master at dutch oven cooking.  He shared his many talents and gifts with his family and friends and used his resourceful nature to solve any problems that would arise.

After retirement he enjoyed working in the temple while visiting 50 temples around the country, along with 49 states.  He looked forward to traveling to see his children as well.

For the last 5 years he dedicated his life to caring for his wife and forever partner.

He's preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ida, his siblings Clyde, Don, Lloyd, his sister Arleen Johnson, his wife Arlene, and his son Lynn.  He is survived by Kendra, Blain (Phyllis), Steven (Shannon), Shawn (Darcy), Jonathan (Carrie), Ann, and Glen (Jamie).

There will be a graveside service on October 3rd, 2025, at the St. Charles Cemetery beginning at 11:00 a.m.
