Kenneth J. Jorgensen

Kenneth J. Jorgensen was born June 16, 1947, and passed away on February 23, 2011 from an extended illness.

Kenny was born in Afton and was raised in the valley, graduating at Star Valley High School. He learned his trade which was masonry and carpentry, by working with his father and uncles.

He loved to fish, hunt, golf, camp, and play card games with his family. He also loved and participated in the Mountain Man Rendezvous.

He served in the National Guard for six years.

He moved to Logan, Utah and then onto Salt Lake City, Utah where he settled with his wife, Teri, and ran his own business for 24 years.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Lena Titensor; his father, Ken N. Jorgensen; a brother, Marvin Jorgensen; a son Toby Jorgensen; a granddaughter, Alissa Mcmurdo, two nephews, Marvin Jorgensen and Shawn Jorgensen.

His surviving family includes his wife, Teri Jorgensen; children, Suni Summer; Geanie Jorgensen; Ken W. Jorgensen; Terra Nebeker; Amber Alexander; and Nathan Motzkus.

His grandchildren are: Dustin Jorgensen; Shawn Summers; Stormy Summers; Kendra Jorgensen; Kaydensce Jorgensen; Ashley Alexander; Trista Alexander; Misty McMurdo; Heidi McMurdo; Jessica McAbee; Jodell McAbee; his mother and step father Beulah and Harold Rumbaugh; a brother and his wife, Don and Gloria Jorgensen, and three nephews, Shayne Jorgensen; Bob Jorgensen; and Roy Jorgensen and step grandchildren: Sam Nebeker; Lisa Nebeker; and Demri Nebeker.

A service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Alpine Civic Center.

We, the family will bring Kenny home where he loved to be.
