Judy (Wiser) Brooks's Obituary

Judy W. Brooks passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 83 years old.

Judy was born on April 28, 1942, in Lewiston, Utah, to Sara Poppleton and LaMoin Wiser. She grew up in Logan, Utah, where she attended Logan High School and later continued her education at Utah State University.

She later married the love of her life, Ted Brooks, in Cokeville, Wyoming. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, family, and community. They made their home in Cokeville, where they raised their two sons, Jason and Brandon, and created a home filled with warmth, creativity, and kindness.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known for her gentle spirit, her artistic talent, and the deep love she had for her family. For many years, she shared her passion for creativity as an art teacher in both high school and grade school classrooms, inspiring countless students and encouraging them to see the beauty in the world around them.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ted Brooks; her sons, Jason Brooks and Brandon Brooks; her daughter-in-law, Christy Brooks; and her cherished grandchildren: Kallie (Gaige) Vielhauer, Ashleigh (Jack) Southwick, Cole Brooks, Jace Brooks, and Sara Brooks. She is also survived by her brother Steve (Teresa) Wiser and sister Joyce (Allen) Waterson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara Poppleton and LaMoin Wiser; her sister Marie Hales; her brothers Gerald LaMoin Wiser and Dean Clell Wiser; and her daughter-in-law Tricia Brooks, Jason's beloved wife, who passed away just a few months ago.

Judy will be remembered as a wonderful mother, a loving grandmother, and a deeply devoted family woman. Her warmth, generosity, creativity, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her family and friends will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
