It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our mother, sister, grandma and loving wife, Jolene Payne Lloyd. Jolene passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026 in Montpelier, Idaho. Jolene was born October 4, 1950 to Russell and Cleone Payne. She was raised in Bloomington, Idaho and loved working on her family farm. She married Wayne Jerry Lloyd on December 17, 1969 in the Logan Temple. They moved to Pocatello to begin their family but after living there for seven years, she was able to return to her precious Bloomington where she resided until her death.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and actively served in a variety of callings. She and Wayne both served an LDS Service Mission at the Bishops Store House in Montpelier. Jolene’s faith and family were most important to her! She loved her family fiercely! She is survived by her siblings, Sandra Wallentine (Rao), Robin Mangum (Craig), Kelly Payne (Julie), and David Payne, her eternal companion Wayne J. Lloyd, her children, Stacy Jo McDonnough (Kevin McDonnough), Jason Lloyd (Heidi Lloyd), Jami Lyn Swensen (Brad Swensen), and her seven grandchildren, Sammy Jo Merrill, Dylan Higley (Kris) , Beau Lloyd (Whitny) , Seth Lloyd (Madison), Elder Porter Swensen, Fischer Swensen, Addi Swensen, and her two great grandchildren Wrenley Jo Merrill and Levi James Lloyd. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, sister Lana Warner, her infant son Brett and infant granddaughter Lilly. There will be a graveside service on September 19, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Bloomington Cemetery.
