Jesse Johnson

Jesse Louise (Turner) Johnson, 93, of Auburn passed away on Aug. 20, 2011, her 74th wedding anniversary.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1917 to Gilbert and Eliza (Lyle) Turner in Fairview. She was the fifth child in a family of eight, where she grew up and worked on the family farm having many great and wonderful experiences with her family.

She started school in a one room school. She graduated from Star Valley High School where she met her sweetheart Orson Elworth Johnson. They were married on Aug. 20, 1937. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They had six children: DeAnn (O'Dell) Merritt, Laina (Mallay) Putnam, Carolyn Hancock, Greg (deceased), Jill (Rick) Spjut, and Jed (Lorie) Johnson.

Louise was a member of the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-Day Saints where she held many positions.

She is survived by her five children, 21 grandchildren, 51 grandchildren, and 27 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Arla Orsatti.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orson, infant son Greg, son-in-law Mallay Putnam, granddaughter-in-law Tracy Putnam, and great grandson Bracken Erickson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Meadows Ward LDS Chapel. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
