Gwen Rich Passey, age 93, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Gwen was born August 4, 1923 in Paris, Idaho, to Daniel Coulson and Annie Stucki Rich, the 8th of 10 children with 6 sisters and 3 brothers.

She graduated from Fielding High School on 1941 where she was a cheerleader and belonged to the Pep Club and "Spartanette" Club.

Gwen married Lloyd J. Passey on August 5th, 1944 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They became the parents of four children. On August 28, 1951, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Lloyd passed away February 13, 2011. They had 66 memorable years together.

She was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as Relief Society President, Relief Society teacher, Visiting Teacher and supervisor, and for many years as Relief Society "Birthday Lady" where she found much enjoyment contacting the sisters in the ward. She also served as a Primary teacher.

Gwen began losing her sight in 1957 and was blind for 60 years. Despite her handicap, she always shared a positive attitude with those around her.

She is survived by her four children: Annette Ludwig (Leroy), Barbara Earl (James), John Passey (Vic), and Steven Passey (April). She has 13 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with two more arriving soon and 10 step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, A. McKay Rich of Portland, Oregon, a sister, Diane Pearce of Mesa, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, and five sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Tueday, March 13, 2017 at 12:00 pm in the Paris Stake Center. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30 – 11:45 am. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery.
