Florence Heiner
Florence Heiner passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the Afton Hospital. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Thayne LDS Stake Center. Interment was in the Bedford Cemetery.
Florence was born November 20, 1930, to Clarence Leonard and Edna Anna Krohn Kelm of Sheboygan, Wisc. She was the second of four children (Elmer, Florence, Rose, and Robert).
Florence married Morris Wolfley Heiner on June 4, 1959, in Bedford, and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Florence was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Morris served for many years together in the Idaho Falls Temple.
However, her favorite calling was working with the young children in the church. She served for almost 25 years as either a nursery leader or member of the Primary Presidency in either the Bedford or Thayne First Ward.
Her biggest joy was watching "her children" grow up, serve missions or get married, have children of their own, and then teaching those children. Many times she would go into a grocery store and one of "her kids" would run up to her and hug her knees, demanding her attention.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna, and by her elder brother, Elmer.
She is survived by her children Suzann and Mary Ellen of Logan, Utah; Robert (Julie) and Rusty (Annette) Heiner of Thayne; 13 Grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one more on the way.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed. We are comforted to know that she is with our dad again and one day we will be reunited.
This not a good bye – merely a good night, for we know we will see mom and dad in the morning when the sun rises over the horizon of our eternity together.
