Eulalie Teichert Langford passed from this mortal life, January 31, 2024, at Montpelier, Bear Lake County, Idaho. She was born April 26, 1927, to Louis Henry Oscar Teichert and Eulalie Bright Page Teichert at Sterling, Bingham County, Idaho. In 1932, her family moved to Cokeville, Wyoming. She married her high school sweetheart, Duane Langford at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Cokeville, Wyoming, May 6, 1944. During World War II, Duane served in the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater. Following World War II, Duane and Eulalie moved to Montpelier, Bear Lake County, Idaho. Duane owned and operated Langford Electric for over 40 years. Duane and Eulalie raised five children; Eulalie Diane (John Swiger, deceased) Robert Louis, deceased (Maria DelCarmen Juarez Ballesteros), Leslie Duane (Barbara Ann Cook), Juanita Irene (Richard "Rick" Dale Dumas, deceased), Gary Page Langford. Eulalie served many years in the Republican Party. In 2001 she was the first woman elected as a State Representative for the Bear Lake, Franklin, Caribou and Teton Counties. She was an original member of LOVE Bear Lake. Throughout her life, she faithfully practiced Christian Science. Her love of history and genealogy culminated with the publication of Heritage, in 1991 and revised in 2009. In this 584-page book, Eulalie documented her genealogy as well as early life growing up during the Great Depression, the only daughter of a cowboy and a schoolteacher. Eulalie was proceeded in death by her husband – Duane, son – Robert, and three grandchildren. At the time of her death her posterity included 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Schwab-Matthews Mortuary, 702 Clay Street, Montpelier, Idaho. This service may also be viewed via Facebook@Schwab-Matthews-Mortuary. A graveside family prayer will be offered at the Montpelier City Cemetery, immediately following the memorial service.
