Donald Blair Cook born in Dingle, Idaho Oct. 5, 1927 and Berta Maria Markwan

born May 14, 1929 in Hallein, Austria met in Betty's native country while Blair was stationed there in the Army. They later married on September 14, 1951 in Vancouver, British Columbia where Betty remained for nearly a year while waiting for her immigration papers. They then moved to Montpelier where they have spent 64 years together.

Blair became a well known plumbing contractor and Betty was the licensed Dietary Supervisor at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital for 22 years, retired and then worked another 12 years at the U.S. Forest Service office.

Blair was an outdoors man loving gardening and camping. He loved fishing and camping with his sons, Robert and Keven and often his nephew George.

Betty went a lot with Blair, but her passion was her yard and home and traveling with her son Karl. Overall Betty loved people and people loved her. She was often referred to as a real lady and an angel on earth.

Blair and Betty have now returned to their Heavenly home to be with their son

Robert, one day apart but still together. Blair passed away on December 13, and his Angel Betty the next day on December 14.

They are survived by their son Karl Don, their son Keven Lynn and his wife Cindy whom they loved as a daughter. Also they have six grandchildren and eight great grand children whom they loved very much.

Services will be held Monday, December 28 in the Montpelier 2nd Ward Chapel at 1:00 pm with a viewing 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be in the Montpelier cemetery where Blair will receive military honors.
