Our Ma was born on July 22, 1939, in Gadsden, Alabama and passed away on July 22, 2026, at home in Montpelier, Idaho.

 Her parents were George Euclid and Coralie Mayer Rowe; both were native to Alabama. They named their first daughter Janie Lucille. Ma changed her name to Destiny Jaine later on. 

She had older twin brothers, DeWitt and Dannie, and two younger sisters, Coralie and Claudia. Both DeWitt and Dannie preceded her in death.

 The family moved to Idaho when she was a grade-schooler. She graduated from Boise High School in 1957. 

She later married Daniel Anderson.

 Mother of seven children: Rickie, Ranie, Gena, Gavin, Amber, Daniel and Israel. Gena preceded her in death. 

Ma married Richard Walter Hunzeker on September 12, 1991. She became a stepmother to his four children: Deborah, Laura, Kenneth and Philip. Deborah preceded her in death.

 Ma and Pa's grandchildren and great-grandchildren are many more in number than a person has fingers and toes.

 Ma worked for Head Start in Pocatello, Idaho. She liked this job the most. Ma fell in love with the children, their parents and her fellow co-workers, too. Alongside writing, singing and her faith, the children (especially the babies) were a calming balm to her, and remained so up to the very end of her life. Ma's prayers always included the babies of the world.

 After marrying and settling in Montpelier, Ma started singing her heart out. She sang at different events around town, sometimes alone, sometimes with her dear friend, Duane Peterson. Ma often sung or hummed at home.

 Our house ain't a home without our Ma there anymore, it's just a house now.

 Ma and Pa joined the Old West Gang holding up buses and entertaining the tourists and town folk. All those that got robbed by Ma and Pa thought them to be the friendliest of robbers.

Ma and Pa belonged to Cowboy Poets of Idaho. 

Many locals will remember the days when Ma and Pa led the wagons across the prairie at the Oregon Trail Museum. 

Ma and Pa were sealed for time and eternity on December 09, 2009. 

The beauty of inheriting a mother's love at birth is that you're assured to get at least one lifelong relationship. Our Ma stuck to us like a barnacle stays stuck to a boat. A part of each of us left us when her last breath left her.
