Collin Todd Crane's Obituary

Collin Todd Crane was born on August 11, 1968, in Montpelier, Idaho, and passed away at home on January 29, 2026.

He grew up in a large family. His mother and father, Kent and Anne Crane, had six kids altogether, with Todd being the oldest.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin and Dorothy Crane and Joe and June Rowsell; his father, Kent Crane; and his younger brother, Cody Crane.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Crane; son, Zakk Crane (Sarah); daughter, Elyssa Sorensen (Michael); sister, Denise (Shawn) Denham; brother, Colton Crane; brother, Matt (Leslie) Crane; sister, Becky (Tim) McEwen; grandkids; nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.

Todd had a sweet soul and was very well liked by many people. He loved to be helpful and was always looking for ways to take care of others.

He spent many years taking care of his grandma June and moved in to help his parents when they needed it. Todd would find ways to help on the farm and would keep the lawn looking sharp at his parents' house.

He worked with his brother, Matt, for many years, and their boss would tell their coworkers, "If you can't work with Todd, you have something wrong."

His favorite workplace was Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed taking care of the residents there, and they adored him. They would always ask for him to be their caregiver. When he was working, his residents were always clean and in happy moods.

In his free time, Todd loved to play guitar, ride motorcycles, or drive the back roads. He spent his younger years doing wheelies and building jumps for his motorcycle.

He enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids for motorcycle and four-wheeler rides. In recent years, one of his favorite things to do was gold panning with his nephew, Yancy. He really enjoyed being outside, and when he found a fleck of gold, it would make his day.

Todd recently spent a week at his daughter's house, enjoying his grandkids, Mavryk and Malkom. Though they kept him busy, he loved playing cards and listening to music with them.

Todd is going to be missed by many, and we will keep him in our hearts.

There will be an open house in his honor at the Bennington Church on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
