Carol Ann Stoddard Alleman arrived on June 1, 1942, the first daughter of Lynn S. and Donna M. Knutti Stoddard. She was preceded by two half-brothers and a full brother, and was later joined by another brother, two sisters, and finally a younger brother. She grew up in a fun, happy household where life wasn't always easy, but the family learned to work hard, stick together, and get through the hard times.

The year 1960 was an eventful one for Carol. She graduated from Bear Lake High School, and later that same year, in September, she married Dennis Lee Alleman. Together they built a life and raised three children: LeeAnn, Michael, and Jeffrey.

Carol and Dennis were married for nearly 52 years. Their life together was filled with the ups and downs that come with raising a family and building a life, but they stuck together through it all. In their retirement years, they enjoyed splitting their time between Nounan, Idaho, and Centerville, Utah.

Carol was a woman who knew what she thought and wasn't afraid to say it. She had a strong personality, a quick wit, and a feisty side that those who knew her well will remember. She could give you a look that said everything without saying a word, and she wasn't one to back down easily. At the same time, she had a good heart and cared deeply about her family. She loved and was very proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even got to enjoy meeting and loving her newest great-great-granddaughters.

She took pride in her family and enjoyed watching each generation grow. She had her own way of doing things, with her own opinions about how things should be done and she wasn't afraid to make sure everyone knew it. Those qualities made her uniquely Carol and are part of what her family will miss most.

Carol is survived by her children, LeeAnn (Brad) Woolstenhulme, Michael (Angela) Alleman, and Jeffrey (Amber) Alleman, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lee Alleman; her brothers, Richard Stoddard, Kent Michael, Dale Stoddard, and Bill Stoddard; and her parents, Lynn S. and Donna M. Knutti Stoddard.

Carol will be remembered most of all for being unmistakably herself. She wasn't perfect, and she never claimed to be—but she was Carol, and there will never be another quite like her.
