Bonnie Lloyd Duncan died August 23, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. She was surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born in Montpelier, Idaho on June 5,1955 to Griffith Franklin "Jerry" and Hazel Leone Butterfield Lloyd.

She obtained the foundation of her hard work ethic by working side by side with her parents and 3 older brothers in their family businesses. Bonnie was able to graduate from Bear Lake High School with her classmates, even though she missed her Junior year, due to treatments for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. From there, she took a job with Safeway stores where she quickly moved herself to management. Shortly after she married Richard Charles Locher Jr; together they had two children. In 1981 she gave birth to her daughter, Sonya Locher and in 1985 her son, Jesse Charles Locher was born. They later divorced and Bonnie soon met her soul mate, Boyd Allen Duncan. They were married in 1990 and together raised their family.

In 1989 she started her path in healthcare. She worked at Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She then continued her education in nursing, earning her LPN and administrative license for assisted living. The love of her career was in home health and geriatrics. Bonnie was most proud of her accomplishments as department head of Bear Lake Home Health and Hospice. In 2011 she won the Semi Annual People's Choice Award for Outstanding Employee Performance.

Bonnie was a great animal lover and contributed much to the National Humane Society. She loved camping and being outdoors. Her two greatest passions in life were her family and work. She gave nothing less that everything in all she did. Having her family surrounding her and watching her grand-kids grow, was the heartbeat of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Griffith Franklin "Jerry" Lloyd, Hazel Leone Butterfield Lloyd and her brother Lynn B Lloyd. She will live on through her husband Boyd Allen Duncan, daughter Sonya Locher, son Jesse Charles (Jor'Dan) Locher, grandchildren Courtland Charles Keith Locher and Ember Hazel Locher, her brothers Griffith Allen (Jane) Lloyd, Franklin M. (Charmine) Lloyd and Wayne J (Jolene) Lloyd.

There will be a viewing for friends and family at Schwab-Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier, ID on August 27, 2014, between the hours of 6-8 pm. On August 28, 2014 at the Montpelier Cemetery, there will be a graveside service held for those who would like to honor and remember Bonnie. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Bear Lake Memorial Hospital.
