Virtue Wallentine Obituary

Virtue was born in Bloomington, Idaho on September 21, 1915 and became part of a large and happy family. Her growing up days in Bloomington were pleasant and filled with family, friends and constant learning. She and her husband, Davis Wallentine, attended Fielding High School. They were married in June of 1934 in the Logan Temple. To this Union came three daughters: Loye (Vaughn) Hunsaker, Moses Lake Washington; Karen (Max) Peterson, College Ward, Utah; and Carol Marie (Sheldon) Hansen, Mesa, Arizona. 13 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren have now been added to the family.

Virtue has had a life of self-designed learning. She excelled in high school, earning the honor of valedictorian. A few years ago she made a list of the books in the local library and worked diligently to read them all. She has kept up with the latest best sellers and has loved book clubs and reviewing books for others. She has always been skilled with her hands, earning Blue ribbons for her crocheted and quilted creations at County Fair time. All of her family members have pieces of her artwork to treasure. Virtue love to travel and have new experiences. She enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Washington DC, Alaska, Canada and a goodly number of the US states.

Virtue has been a valued member of the Paris LDS Ward for many years and very active in her community. Over the years, she and Davis lived in several different locations - Logan, Malad, Nounan and Paris. In all of these areas she was a faithful member of the local ward and loved her work with the children and especially the music.

Her life was one of great faith and belief, continue learning in a wide knowledge-scope, showing care and love for others and sharing her creativity with many. For virtue, the world and national events of the past 100 years formulated feelings and ideas about a large variety of things. Just think about the changes in communication and transportation over the past 102 years.
