Twilla Lindsay

Twilla Bartschi Kulicke Lindsay age 87 passed away June 2, 2019 in Pocatello, Idaho at the Brookdale Chubbuck Assisted Living Center.

Twilla was born in Sharon, Idaho on December 27, 1931 to Leo Frederick and Enes Koeven Bartschi.  She was raised in Sharon, Idaho and attended school there and in Paris, Idaho.

She married Warner William “Tobe” Kulicke in 1951.  They made their home in Lanark, Idaho.  Together they had 4 boys, Kevin Warner, Allen William, Keith Ellis, and Merlin John and also 1 daughter LaNita.

Tobe passed away on February 24, 1968.

Twilla then met McKay Seymour Lindsay and they were married on October 2, 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They then combined her 5 children and his 4 with Twilla moving from Lanark to Dingle, Idaho.

They had a good life together and enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Arizona as snowbirds.  McKay passed away on June 8, 2002.

Twilla was a faithful member of the LDS church and served throughout her life as a pianist and chorister along with many other callings.  She taught her family how to work through her example.

Twilla was an avid gardener, excellent homemaker and loved to cook, crochet, travel, and be with family. 

Twilla is survived by her children Merlin(Karen) Lindsay, Karen Kulicke, Allen(Lynn) Kulicke, Donovan(Kris) Lindsay, Keith Kulicke, Merlin(Melissa) Kulicke, Sheila(Tony) Gordon, and LaNita(Kim) Steely.  Two brothers Sherman and Farrell Bartschi, and one brother-in-law Max Kulicke.

She has 29 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by husbands Warner William “Tobe” Kulicke and McKay Seymour Lindsay.  Her son Keven Kulicke and one grand-daughter Jamie Lindsay.

Twilla will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  She was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the LDS 3rd Ward in Montpelier Idaho.  A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM with the funeral service starting at 12:00 noon.

Burial will be held in the Paris, Idaho Cemetery.  Following the burial, a luncheon will be provided for family at the 3rd ward church.

The family would like to thank Brookdale Chubbuck Assisted Living Center and Hospice for their loving care of our mother.  Also the 3rd ward for providing a luncheon for the family.
