Robert McLain Obituary

Our loving father Robert G. McLain passed away August 26, 2018. Robert was born in Thatcher, Idaho on May 28, 1932 to Oliver McLain and Ella Gulbransen McLain.

He attended school in Grace Idaho. As a young man he began working for the railroad.

At 19 he joined the Air Force and served four years. He returned to work on the railroad and bet the love of his life Beverly Q. Keetch and they married June 28, 1957. Tey were later sealed March 10, 1966 in the Logan Temple.

They raised their three children at the ranch in Wardboro. Robert continued to work on the railroad till he retired Forty Five years later.

He is survived by his three children Robert K. McLain Wardboro; Helen M. Smith(Tom) Bloomington; David K McLain (Tammy) Smithfield, Utah; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Ella McLain, his brother Gene McLain and Sister Marie Matthews as well as his wife Beverly Q. McLain.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Wardboro Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Schwab-Matthews Mortuary.
