Gloria Peterson Higgins

Gloria Peterson Higgins passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones Sunday August 19, 2018.

Our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend loved her family most of all and made each person feel they were her favorite. She had countless friends and made new friends everywhere she went. She loved nature, playing and watching sports, especially her grand kids and great-grandkids. She worked hard throughout her life as a waitress, grocery clerk, and truck driver. She loved yard work, berries in her berry patch, gardening, and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin Jay and Josephine Peterson, her sister Shirley Arneson, husband George William Higgins, one son William Wayne Higgins, and one granddaughter Amanda Jane Higgins.

She is survived by three sons Scott (Dawn) Loving, NM; Steve (Kris) Montpelier, ID; and Rodney, Jerome, ID. She has 12 living grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Duane (Judy) Peterson, Georgetown, ID, and many nieces and nephews. We will miss her.

A viewing will take place Thursday, August 23 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Georgetown LDS Church. Another viewing will be held Friday August 24, 2018 from 10:00 - 11:45 a.m. in the same location with funeral services to follow at noon in the Georgetown LDS Chapel. Interment will be the Georgetown City Cemetery.
